UPDATE:
February 2006
Some Great News and Non Update Info:
Well you guys can see we've not really
bothered with this section of the site after Guin was unceremoniously
not asked back for another season. There really seemed little
point being as how we concentrate on Guin herself. Today
though, we've opted to add something, because it's something
we're both loving and therefore think you may too. Two 'girls'
going by the names of KC and Elka do a
rather brilliant L Word podcast every week. We've been listening
since the first one and love these ladies, they never fail
to raise a giggle. Anyway, if you haven't had the pleasure,
we suggest you do.
Check
out theplanetcast
for more information.
Seriously,
very entertaining stuff.

Guin not asked back for 3rd Season:
As covered in Guinfo
Guin was quoted in a recent interview for Lesbian News in
which Guin was told about the L Word getting it's third
season green light and her reply was... "Well, it's
also just been confirmed to me that I am not being asked
back to be on the writing staff of the 3rd season, for reasons
unknown and unexplained to me, so that's a bummer."

UPDATE:
July 2004
We have seen the first season of the
L Word (despite living in blighty)
and we'll have our views on that shortly! Needless to say
our views re the characters and storylines differ somewhat.
We're also looking forawrd to sharing Debbies views with you
all. Either way for you UKers it starts on Living TV in a
couple of months and you should NOT miss it.
If
you haven't heard about the L word yet then there's a problem,
it's said to be 'the lesbian Queer as Folk' and Guin is
not only one of the screenwriters of the hit Showtime series
but is also appearing in the show! Her characters name is
Gabby so keep your eyes open for her.
As
this is the Guin Turner site and we are trying to focus
SPECIFICALLY on Guin here and not go off on all manner of
tangents we'll be adding more to this section when Guin
has appeared in the show and we have more news on that.
We will however include a few good links to various other
sites talking about the L word itself and not specifically
about Guins involvement in the show (although afterEllen
have a cool guin interview)..
If
you have any views, news, opinions about the L wrd and would
like them to appear here, just email us and let us know,
as we're in the UK we are yet to see the L word though rumour
has it the BBC will be picking up the show over the next
few months... here's hoping! UPDATE: The BBC failed
to pick up The L Word HOWEVER we're happy to report that
'Living TV' have bought the rights and will be showing the
series later this year!
BIG
NEWS: When we met up with Guin in LA she chatted to
us about the L word and her thoughts on the project overall!
It's guite a long interview and is presently being transcribed
so be sure and check back with us as we'll be putting it
up here SOON!
The INTERVIEW is now up, be
sure and check it out.
