Guin was interviewed in L.A. by Rebecca Loos recently for a Sky TV show named 'Power Lesbians'. The usual Sky sensationalism was avoided and this was actually a good show where Rebecca went in search of the Hollywood Lesbian Elite. She interviewed Guin sitting on a sidewalk cafe and included her as one of the most powerful lesbians in Hollywood. Guin looked gorgeous in her minimal make up and bright red top, very cute and at ease with herself as usual. Rebecca went into what makes a 'Power Lesbian' and whether Guin considered herself one. Amusingly Guin described a power lesbian as someone with good suits, power and self confidence.... she said she couldn't be classed as one because she didn't have the suits lol. Overall it was an interesting interview and Rebecca explained how Go Fish was one of the most iconic lesbian movies of all time. She asked Guin whether she would be as 'out' if she did it all over again and Guin explained that she didn't really have that option because Go Fish made her completely out everywhere. Also she said that perhaps in hindsight had someone made her an offer of becoming mega famous back then and then coming out that she might have gone for it like Ellen. She did say it fairly tongue in cheek though and seemed very comfy in her own skin as usual. The director of Power Up also briefly spoke of Guin saying that she
considers her a power lesbian even though she might not consider herself one. It was a very good show and it was nice to see they'd actually gone to the trouble to find some authentic lesbians for it. Other interviewees were the owners of Girl Bar and organisers of the Dinah Shore weekend as well as Ilene Chaiken (The L Word creator) and Jenny Shimizu.
