The Award Ceremony:

Well we got there in plenty of time, met some lovely people (Hi Lisa and Fay) and headed into the theater in anticipation. We sat in the front row, only to be horrified when noone joined us.... til Lisa and Fay also sat there *phew*

The theater was quaint and we were all shown a reel of Guins work, cleverly put together by a lady who worked for the Arts Bank Theater, it showed some of the more memorable moments from various films, we were also treated to the short 'Hummer'.

Guins Acceptance & the Q & A:

The theatre housed around 100 diverse individuals all there to show their appreciation for Guin and her work. The clip reel they showed at the beginning with some of the best parts of her work really got everyone in the mood for the lady herself. When Guin came out to an appreciative audience, she looked as gorgeous as ever. You can see the entire acceptance speech by clicking on the link below. Awww aren't we good to ya! Apologies for the shakey camera at this stage. Trust me it gets better. I just didnt want to be intrusive, at the end of the day it was Guins big moment and I didn't want a camera shoved in her face. Enjoy!

We were then treated to the Q & A session.

We didn't catch the name of the interviewer but he was very entertaining and allowed Guin to talk freely even though he had a number of scripted questions. She spoke so freely infact at times that we can't actually transcribe everything as we want to respect her privacy. As you may know, we like to make sure that Guin approves of everything we put on the site so this is no different. The Q&A consisted of the interviewer asking various questions and then the audience being allowed to ask questions. I will transcribe as much as I can of course. The entire thing lasted over an hour, absolutely worth it. Guin was funny and witty as always. Very smart and very sexy with it. Can't beat it!

After Show Party:
We got there about an hour after the Q & A, met a girl from NYC patiently awaiting Guins arrival (we hope she got to speak with her). Headed in... FREE BAR! Ok so neither of us are drinkers, we were there to have fun!

Let's cut to the chase, you're not interested in what we were doing, you're reading this to see what Guin was doing! Well she arrived with a few other people a half hour or so later, including the woman who worked for the theater, she seemed to be her guide. Then something strange happened... Guin got a drink and headed straight over to us!!! A quick hug, polite kiss on the cheek and she introduced us by name to the woman with her, explained we were from Scotland... I have to say, I was impressed. Tracy then chatted to Guin and she signed a photo for our very own Debbie!! They chatted some more as she then signed a photo for us. I meanwhile chatted to the lady from the Arts Bank... though to be honest, I got the distinct impression she'd rather I hadn't been there LOL.

It was really cool of her coming over and spending some time with us. She totally rocks. We spent some time chatting and as mentioned above she was gracious enough to sign things for us again. She also came over at the end of the night before leaving and gave us both a hug and kiss and thanked us for coming. I dont think Guin will mind us saying that she also made good use of the free bar! A good time was had by all and hopefully Guin got home ok and enjoyed her two days in Philly. We did! As much as we'd like to tell everything about the party, it would take too long and of course again we like to respect her privacy so we'll let you know anything else that comes to mind but without going into detail.
