Press Releases:

Guinevere Turner’s most recent work in progress is the horror/action screenplay “BloodRayne” scheduled to shoot in the Greater Vancouver area and Eastern Europe in late summer of 2004.

The $15 Million US feature film titled “BloodRayne” is an adaptation of a video game. The title character is a huntress, part-human and part-vampire. An explosive force with gymnastic dexterity and an intense lust for blood and action, “BloodRayne” was raised and trained by a secret agency to hunt down and eliminate supernatural threats around the globe.

Turner adds "I'm thrilled at the opportunity to bring this character to the big screen - she's hot, she's pissed off, she has special powers - what's not to love?"

If we were doing a little casting we'd have to suggest a couple of the people in our microsites section. Most notably Angelina Jolie (well she has done a 'little' videogame character before), Ali Larter (a total vamp) and Hudson.. just coz she's a chum... ok and a vamp ;o)

Oh Dear Me....

Angela's Thoughts on the Film..

Some of you may know I'm an avid gamer, so the thought of Guin writing the script for a mediocre videogame was worrying to say the least, more worrying was the fact that Ewe Boll was behind it. Gamers despise this man for ruining some perfectly good videogame stories. You know we like Guin, you know we think she's witty, sharp and intelligent, so what went wrong here.

When the DVD was released, we bought it obviously (Tracy has all of Guins stuff on DVD). I'm not sure what happened with this project, but the entire thing is so bad, I'm surprised Guin had ANYthing to do with it, let alone writing the entire script. I can only assume (given Guins great track record with writing), that Mr Boll somewhat butchered whatever she'd originally written.

This film was dire from beginning to end. Not even Loken as Rayne, or the sultry Michelle Rodriguez could save this from mediocrity. Such a shame.

And what the hell were all those horse riding scenes about!!!
